Description VACOped Short is the shorter and lighter version of VACOped. Thanks to the integrated VACO12 technology, the orthosis adapts perfectly to the foot and ankle. VACOped Short allows not only immobilization of the ankle, but also a defined range of motion (ROM) from 15° of dorsal extension to 20° of plantar flexion. Note on treating Achilles tendon injuries in the equinus position: With a fixed angle setting between 15° and 20°, please use the wedge sole (Figure 18). The wedge sole needs to be ordered separately. When walking in a boot, there can be a leg length discrepancy that can cause strain on your hips, which can become painful to deal with.
