The 3M Comply SteriGage Chemical Integrator 1243B consist of a paper wick and steam and temperatureensitive chemical pellet contained in a paper/film/foil laminate envelope The chemical pellet melts and migrates as a dark colour along with the paper wick The indicator integrates all critical parameters of steam and EO sterilization to provide a convenient way to monitor proper sterilization process conditions It is meant to immediately identify problems in specific packs in the load The nonoxic chemicals are contained in an enclosed system so there’s no need to worry about contamination of sterile items The extent of migration depends on exposure to steam, time, and temperature The migration is visible through a window marked accept or reject The colour should enter the accept window for an accepted result If the colour has not entered the accept window, a reject result is indicated This chemical indicator can only be used in warm 12045F/493C and cool 8500F/298C cycles in EO/HCFC gas mixture sterilization processes These chemical indicators come in a standard packing of 10 units per box
